One faith, many backgrounds
Muslims live across the world and belong to many nationalities and cultures. Belief in one God connects this diverse community beyond borders and distance. A shared faith does not mean everyone has the same background or life experience.
Community in the Quran
The Quran uses the idea of an Ummah when speaking about religious communities, including communities guided by earlier prophets. Muslims understand the message of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as guidance for humanity.
Belonging and responsibility
Community is more than a shared name. Looking out for one another, learning together and supporting people in need are ways to put faith into practice. Prayer and generosity connect individual worship with care for others.
