A day of discovery.
£562.80 raised for Palestine.
Our Safari Kids Fun Day brought families together for an afternoon of fun and fundraising, supported by The Tiffin Box Belfast.

Fun, friendship and giving together
On Sunday 10 December 2023, Ihsan Youth Association welcomed children and families to a Safari Kids Fun Day at Shaftesbury Community & Recreation Centre in Belfast. Sponsored by The Tiffin Box Belfast, the event combined a safari theme with a shared purpose: raising funds for Palestine.
Held from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, the afternoon gave families a chance to spend time together and support the fundraiser. The event was advertised for children aged 1–16, with entry priced at £3 per child and £1 per adult.
A close encounter with the animal world
The photographs capture children gathering around an animal handler to meet a tortoise, a large lizard and a snake. From colourful costumes to the chance to see the animals up close, these moments brought the safari theme to life.
The advertised programme included a bouncy castle, face painting, treat and gift bags, prizes for the best dressed, and Ihsan Youth Prize Day. An animal encounter was also pictured on the day.
£562.80 raised — alhamdulillah
Following the event, Ihsan and The Tiffin Box announced a fundraising total of £562.80. The original event poster stated that all proceeds would go to Palestine, and the follow-up announcement named the Palestine Red Crescent Society as the charity the funds would be donated to.
The result gave this family afternoon a purpose beyond the activities themselves. Each contribution helped build the final total, bringing the community’s generosity together in one shared effort.
